An opportunity has arisen for a Hydro geologist to be based in our Project Office in Wyoming to work on the first of Linc Energy’s projects in the US.
This role will be responsible for enhancing our understanding of ground water systems and contaminant hydrogeology associated with the Underground Coal Gasification (UCG) technology; and will work closely with the established UCG Technology team in Australia as well as the Environmental Team and Wyoming Project team to design best practice UCG operations in the Powder River Basin.
The successful candidate for this role will be a tertiary qualified Geologist, ideally with some postgraduate qualification. With a minimum of 3-5 years experience in the field, they will have had exposure to ground well construction and aquifer testing methods. In addition they will be experienced with groundwater flow modelling and contaminant migration; and will demonstrate applied experience contributing to environmental impact studies. They will be able to balance their ability to think strategic while acting in a “hands-on” manner within a framework which is fluid and dynamic and will benefit from some previous experience working with coal ideally in the Powder River Basin region.

Office Administrator / Receptionist
We are currently looking for a capable and professional Receptionist / Administrative Assistant for our first office location in the USA, located in Casper, Wyoming.
This role forms the first point of contact for all visitors and callers to the Linc Energy office, and will be a key person in establishing and maintaining our professional reputation and image in Casper. The role will be responsible for general office administration to support Linc Energy employees including phone routing, administration and secretarial support, management of office inventory, incoming and outgoing mail, and management of office resources including car parks and cell phones.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a professional and mature demeanour combined with a strong belief in providing first-rate customer service. You will be a skilled communicator with excellent verbal and written skills who can be versatile and adapt to the various requirements of the role. Able to work autonomously or contribute to a team, your ability to manage your time and multi-task will be utilised in this role. Proficient use of MS Office and general computer literacy is also required, and you will have demonstrated all of the above attributes in your minimum 3 years experience in a similar role.

Environmental Scientist / Engineer
An opportunity exists for an Environmental Scientist or Engineer to join the Linc Energy team to assist with the Underground Coal Gasification (UCG) project in the first of our international expansion projects in the Powder River Basin in Wyoming.
This role will assist in the preparation of Environmental Impact reports and ground management of this important project, and will research new developments in best practice environmental management as well as conduct field work and prepare submissions. In addition, the role will be integral in ensuring Linc Energy’s compliance with environmental regulations and development of systems to assist with monitoring and record keeping, and research.
The ideal candidate will come from an industrial or consulting background and have excellent knowledge of chemistry and general environmental issues. You will have excellent communication skills and be accustomed to conducting research and writing appropriate reports and complex government submissions. In addition to your relevant tertiary qualifications you will have a minimum of 3+ years post graduate experience and knowledge of the Powder River Basin and Wyoming regulatory frameworks. Some field work will be required.

Office Executive
Linc Energy is currently establishing its USA headquarters in Denver, Colorado and is ready to recruit an Office Executive to be the “go to” person.
This is a truly diverse role which will be responsible for a range of areas typical of an office administration function including reception and phone routing, administration, secretarial and clerical work. This role will also take responsibility for accounts/finance areas including petty cash, purchase orders and tracking invoices. Additional responsibilities include monitoring of office inventory across two office locations, mail and couriers, setting up new workstations for new starters and IT support.
The successful candidate will be a professional and responsible person who can demonstrate “all-rounder” abilities including exemplary customer service, time management and the ability to multi-task competing priorities. You will be equally able to operate autonomously and contribute to a team, and thrive on the opportunity to take ownership of your suite of responsibilities. Drilling Manager
Linc Energy is in the process of establishing an office in Denver Colorado, which will serve as headquarters for the USA operations in Denver and Wyoming. A Drilling Manager is required to head up the directional drilling for the region.
Reporting to the VP & GM USA for Linc Energy, this role will be responsible for providing directional drilling engineering input on conceptual, feasibility and design studies for new UCG Generator development. In addition, it will provide the engineering, planning and permitting aspects of all UCG drilling activities to ensure all well sites are drilled and completed in safe, innovative, cost effective and environmentally responsible manner. Other aspects of the role include design of directional well paths, supervision of the drilling operations, provision of reports and analysis to relevant internal stakeholders, and the preparation of relevant cost estimates and budgets.
The successful candidate will have 10-15 years experience in the planning, execution and management of all phases of directional drilling and ideally this will include international experience in directional drilling technology. The role requires someone who is accustomed to the management and supervision of drill rig operations and drawing up appropriate drilling programs, in addition to experience authoring or contributing to research reports and preparation of End of Well Reports.
Your engineering qualifications combined with a hands-on attitude will well prepare you for this role, where your focus on results will see you take ownership and get the job done. Essential will be your high-level planning and analysis skills, written and verbal communication skills and an ability to work either autonomously or part of a team, both as a contributor and a supervisor.

Safety Officer
As Linc Energy’s operations accelerate, we will be recruiting a Safety Officer to be based in our USA headquarters in Denver, Colorado.
This role will primarily be responsible for the implementation and management of industry best practice safety procedures and will conduct all site inductions and take ownership of standard operating procedures and emergency response on site. Reporting to the VP and GM USA, and working closely with the Project Managers on project site/s the Safety Officer will identify training and development plans for project/field staff and audit adherence to relevant policies and procedures. Incident reporting and management will also be a responsibility of the role.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role which ideally has been in the Oil & Gas industry or Mining in a site based capacity. Your attention to detail and understanding of relevant State and Federal safety legislation will be critical to your success, as will your experience implementing a Safety Management Plan for each site as they come on line nationally. With a knack for communicating effectively, your track record will reveal success with training and motivating staff to exercise safe behaviours, and where necessary, facilitation of behavioural change in demanding work environments. Travel will be a requirement for this role.
