Linc Energy is a young and dynamic company positioned to lead the world in alternative energy production. We aim to produce ultra-clean diesel and jet fuels by using our established Underground Coal gasification (UCG) in combination with Fisher-Tropsch Gas to Liquids Technologies (GTL) and in doing so convert stranded coal resources into valuable liquid fuels for an increasingly energy hungry world.

Linc Energy has set itself ambitious objectives to commercialise its GTL business within the next few years with plans to develop a 20,000 bpd facility at Chinchilla in Queensland. We are now looking for an outstanding Coal Geologist to work with the UCG team to be responsible for analysing, reporting and advising on the coal seam geology and coal characteristics in areas of interest to Linc energy.

We are seeking an experienced Pipeline Engineer to lead the pipeline needs for Underground Coal Gasification. You will take the lead within a well site facility, pipeline design, documentation, specification, layout and procurement. You will have a thorough understanding of pipeline engineering principles including construction, operation and maintenance.

This role encompasses both the current operations in the field at Chinchilla, as well as research and development on future projects.

To be successful you will have:
• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering
• 3-5 years gas pipeline experience
• Detailed knowledge of corrosion protection & control
• Oil & Gas experience
• Relevant international project experience would be desirable
